Anita Lawson - Painter and Illustrator

Portraiture 1995-Present
In painting a portrait my aim is to capture the soul and personality of the individual.
After sketching my subject, I begin building the facial characteristics in a multitude of values and hues. My aim is always to match the subject and background so it feels as though it's one atmosphere, in a believable way.
